HOOK, LINE AND SINKER: SUPERSIZED FISH STOCKING THIS SPRING

More than 70 lakes across Victoria are now brimming with rainbow trout ready for families to enjoy the great outdoors these school holidays – thanks to the Allan Labor Government. Minister for Outdoor Recreation Steve Dimopoulos announced that 35,000 rainbow trout have been released into lakes across Victoria, thanks to the Labor Government’s $96 million package to improve fishing, boating and piers.

EIGHT DAYS OF FREE PUBLIC TRANSPORT FOR SENIORS

The Allan Labor Government is supporting older Victorians to explore everything Seniors Festival has to offer, with eight days of free public transport for Seniors Card holders.Minister for Ageing Ingrid Stitt and Minister for Public and Active Transport Gabrielle Williams visited Flinders Street Station today to encourage more than a million Seniors Card holders to take advantage of the free travel to explore Victoria, visit attractions and participate in Victorian Seniors Festival events.

GIVING VICTORIANS A SAY ON MATERNAL AND CHILD HEALTH SERVICES

Victorian parents and carers now have a valuable opportunity to help improve Victoria's Maternal and Child Health (MCH) Service through a new survey launched by the Allan Labor Government. Minister for Children Lizzie Blandthorn announced the survey is now open, inviting everyone who has used the service in the past two years to provide their feedback.

Kyneton Racecourse will soon have upgraded jockey rooms thanks to a funding boost from the Allan Labor Government.Minister for Racing Anthony Carbines today announced a $260,000 grant from the Victorian Racing Industry Fund to help refurbish and expand the jockey rooms at Kyneton Racecourse.

FUNDING OUR VIBRANT CALENDER OF MULTICULTURAL EVENTS

The Allan Labor Government continues to support Victoria’s vibrant calendar of multicultural festivals and events, with more funding available for communities to celebrate and share culture and traditions through the Multicultural Festivals and Events Program (MFE).Minister for Multicultural Affairs Ingrid Stitt announced that grants of up to $50,000 are available through a new round of the MFE Program and Regional Multicultural Festivals and Events Fund to host festivals and events that promote and celebrate cultural diversity and foster inclusivity for all Victorians.
