AIRCRAFT DEPLOYED AS VICTORIA PREPARES FOR THE FIRE SEASON

Ahead of what’s expected to be a significant and elevated fire season, Victoria has strengthened its bushfire preparedness by deploying firefighting aircraft ahead of schedule to key parts of the state.Premier Jacinta Allan, Minister for Emergency Services Vicki Ward and Minster for Environment Steve Dimopoulos joined Emergency Management Commissioner Tim Wiebusch to meet crews and view the firefighting aircraft which are now at Ballarat.

Kyneton Racecourse is set to benefit from a funding boost to upgrade their equipment and boost the race day experience as part of the Allan Labor Government’s ongoing investment in country racing.‍Minister for Racing Anthony Carbines today announced more than $730,000 from the Regional Customer Facilities Program to improve racing infrastructure at 18 regional racing venues.

IMPROVING ACCESSIBILITY AT KYNETON STATION

The Allan Labor Government has improved accessibility for passengers on the Bendigo Line, with a new ramp built at the entrance to Kyneton Station.The new switchback ramp will deliver better passing space for passengers and make it easier for passengers using mobility aids to access the station.
