SPOTLIGHT ON NEW GISBORNE TENNIS

New Gisborne tennis players can look forward to extra time on court, thanks to completion of new lighting at the New Gisborne Tennis Club, made possible by the Victorian Government.Member for Macedon Mary-Anne Thomas today joined representatives from Macedon Ranges Shire Council and the New Gisborne Tennis Club to officially flick the switch on the new lights backed by $170,000 from the Regional Community Sports Infrastructure Fund (RCSIF).

NEW FIRE TRUCKS ROLL IN FOR WOODEND

The Allan Labor Government is delivering modern firefighting vehicles to Woodend so volunteers have what they need to during an emergency.On Friday, Minister for Emergency Services Vicki Ward and Member for Macedon Ranges Mary-Anne Thomas joined Country Fire Authority (CFA) volunteers and staff to officially hand over a new medium tanker and rehabilitation unit while thanking volunteers for their work.

New oval lighting is set to put the spotlight on local sport in Riddells Creek thanks to the Victorian Government.Member for Macedon Mary-Anne Thomas today joined members from the Riddells Creek Football Netball Club, Riddells Creek Cricket Club and Riddells Creek Junior Football Netball Club to officially launch the new lights, made possible by a $200,000 investment from the Country Football and Netball Program.

The Allan Labor Government is making Macedon’s tiniest towns better places to live, work, stay and play, by investing in new community-building projects through the Tiny Towns Fund.Member for Macedon, Mary-Anne Thomas today announced eleven new projects across Macedon are being delivered through round 2 of the fund for towns with populations of fewer than 5,000 people.

FUNDING BOOST FOR LOCAL ROAD SAFETY PROJECTS

The Allan Labor Government is helping councils across Victoria address road safety concerns in their communities, with 38 local government authorities sharing in more than $2.5 million worth of grants. Macedon Ranges Shire Council received $30,000 to investigate pedestrian and cyclist improvements in Romsey.
