The Allan Labor Government has finished a major rebuild and rehabilitation along two stretches of Tylden-Woodend Road in Tylden giving drivers smoother journeys as part of the $964 million road maintenance blitz.
Crews have finished rebuilding a two-kilometre section of Tylden-Woodend Road between Caddys Lane and Maxwell Street and an over one-kilometre section from Harpers Road to the railway crossing.
The existing road surface has been removed, the road foundations have been rebuilt to create an improved journey for the everyone who travels between Tylden and Woodend each day.
Crews have completed new line-markings on the newly rebuilt roads.
The work doesn’t stop there – later this year, crews will be back on the road delivering the Victorian Budget 2025/26 Better Roads Blitz, a record $976 million investment to repair and maintain our roads.
As part of these upcoming works, crews will focus on delivering long-term solutions to repair Victorian roads, with rehabilitation and resurfacing works prioritised to protect the longevity of our road network for years to come.
