The Macedon communities will be better protected when they need it most thanks to the Allan Labor Government.
Member for Macedon, Mary-Anne Thomas joined Country Fire Authority (CFA) volunteers and staff to open the brand-new station Metcalfe Fire Brigade.
Featuring a motor room with two reverse in-bays, storage space, solar panels, room for an electric charging station and dedicated turnout areas for volunteers, the new station will help the Brigade to serve the community as the state continues to face emergency weather events that are increasing in frequency and intensity.
For over 130 years, the Metcalfe Fire Brigade has stood by the community through its toughest moments including the 2009 Black Saturday fires, the 2021 Mallacoota fires and the recent 2026 Ravenswood-Harcourt fire – and they will continue to with this new station.
This is all part of Labor’s $109 million CFA Capital Upgrades Program.
Labor is making sure the CFA has the trucks, stations and equipment they need to back our firefighters and keep Victorians safe.
