NEW EQUIPMENT TO MAKE FREE KINDER ACCESSIBLE

The Allan Labor Government is making Kinder more inclusive, accessible and welcoming for every Victorian child.

The Minister for Children, Lizzie Blandthorn and the Member for Macedon, Mary-Anne Thomas today announced more than $6.2 million for kindergartens across Victoria to create safe, accessible spaces and buy IT equipment to engage children of all abilities.

The Labor Government is providing up to $10,000 for 175 services to buy accessible equipment such as adjustable furniture, mobility stools and sensory resources.

Rothschild Road Kindergarten at Willowbank Primary School in Gisborne will use their $9,613.00 grant to purchase equipment and resources that support imaginative play and interactions with other children, sensory play, self-regulation, the development of gross and fine motor skills, language development, and connection with the outdoors.

Goodstart Early Learning in Kyneton will use their $9,804.00 towards the purchase of an Outdoor Climb & Slide Package. The pack contains a slide, riverbank climbing wall, Beaverlodge climber range, and four types of planks

More than $1.5 million in Information Technology grants will fund computers, tablets and televisions for educational programs and service administration as part of the Building Blocks Improvement grants stream.

Macedon Ranges Montessori Kindergarten in Riddells Creek will use their $1953.52 to purchase 2 new iPads.
Kyneton Kindergarten & Lancefield Children’s Centre will receive $1400 each to purchase 2 lockable charging stations and cable locks to secure devices.
Macedon Kindergarten will use their $1923.72 for purchasing a Dell computer and monitor to complete work during non-contact time.
Manna Gum Family and Children’s Centre in Gisborne will receive $1527.50 to purchase a lockable charging station and 2 cable locks to secure devices and a new iPad.
Swinburne Avenue Children's Centre in Gisborne will receive $1482.28 to purchase 2 new iPads.
Riddells Creek Kindergarten will use their $1923.72 for purchasing a Dell computer and monitor to complete work during non-contact time.
Romsey Kindergarten will receive $1758.86 to purchase a lockable charging station, a cable lock to secure devices and a new iPad.
Rothschild Road Kindergarten at Willowbank Primary School will recieve $2,000 for laptops to support additional educators required in 2026 due to the Pre-Prep rollout.


Woodend Kindergarten
will receive $1968.42 to purchase 2 lockable charging stations and a new iPad.
Goodstart Early Learning Woodend will receive $1960 to purchase a Dell Pro 14 Plus Laptop computer.
Goodstart Early Learning in Kyneton, New Gisborne and Riddells Creek will each receive $ 1893 to purchase 3 Apple 11-inch 128GB iPads with a shockproof rugged case in addition to an Apple Pencil.

Labor is investing billions to build and expand kindergartens across Victoria – supporting the rollout of 15 hours of Three-Year-Old Kindergarten by 2029 and up to 30 hours of Pre-Prep by 2036.
