LABOR FUNDS FIX-UP FOR HEPBURN PRIMARY SCHOOL

Every child, no matter their postcode, deserves a world-class public education close to home.

That’s why Labor has delivered a record investment in school infrastructure – delivering 121 new schools and more than 2,400 school upgrades.

Mary-Anne Thomas, Member for Macedon, has announced that Hepburn Primary School will receive $414,875. This investment includes works to the school's Shelter-in-Place building.

These vital works will ensure local students have modern and safe school environments.

The Planned Maintenance Program has now funded nearly $50 million in upkeep projects for 103 schools across Victoria this year alone.

The annual maintenance and compliance budget for schools has grown nearly six-fold under Labor.

Jess Wilson’s $40 billion in cuts can’t happen without cutting support for schools.

The Liberals and Nationals cut more than $1 billion from education last time they were in office.

Only Labor has new solutions to make life easier, safer and more affordable for Victorian families.

Quotes attributable to Deputy Premier and Minister for Education, Ben Carroll:

“These projects are about supporting growing communities and ensuring every child has access to a high-quality learning environment.”

“While Labor is upgrading schools, the Liberals are planning cuts that put projects like these at risk.”

Quotes attributable to Mary-Anne Thomas, Member for Macedon:

“Families in Macedon deserve a great public school close to home, and that’s exactly what we’re delivering.”

“We’re investing $414,875 to make sure students at Hepburn Primary School have safe, modern facilities they can rely on every day.”
