Works underway on new campus for melton christian college

Families across the Melton region will soon have access to the first-rate facilities they deserve, with work under way at Melton Christian College.

Member for Macedon, Mary-Anne Thomas, and Member for Melton, Steve McGhie, today turned the first sod on Stage One of Melton Christian College’s new campus, to be located on Coburns Road in Toolern Vale.

The Andrews Labor Government provided $5 million for the project through the Non-Government School’s Capital Fund.

Cotter Reid Architecture has been appointed to design Stage One – which includes learning areas, specialist rooms, an administration area, gymnasium and associated external and internal infrastructure.

In the past five years, the Labor Government has invested more than $9 billion in more than 1,600 school upgrades – creating more than 10,000 construction jobs – and is now ahead of schedule its commitment to open 100 new schools by 2026, with 48 new schools opening between 2019 and 2022.

The Labor Government is building the Education State so that every student can access a great local school and get a quality education.
