Boost for emergency volunteers in romsey

Victorian emergency management volunteers are getting a well-deserved funding boost thanks to the Victorian Government’s $15 million Emergency Services Volunteer Sustainability Grants program.

Hundreds of grant applications for equipment, communications, facility upgrades and community engagement and training have already been received from volunteer organisations across the state.

Mary-Anne Thomas MP today visited the Romsey brigade to congratulate them on their successful grant application for $15,882 for storage and workbench improvements as well as IT and AV equipment.

Other beneficiaries of the grant included:

 Lancefield CFA received $2,300 for a mobile signal booster.

 Woodend CFA received $6,818 for shelving and lockers.

 Gisborne VICSES received 12,974 for lighting and equipment.

 Woodend VICSES received $24,300 for bitumen works at the station.

This is a total contribution of $62,274 for emergency volunteers in the Macedon electorate.

These grants will assist emergency volunteers in Macedon in the crucial work they do in keeping the community safe.

Applications for the ESVS Grants Program are still open and all eligible emergency volunteers are encouraged to apply. Organisations are eligible to apply for multiple grants.
