Upgrading riddells creek primary brick by brick

Students in Riddells Creek will soon have access to the first-rate classrooms and facilities they deserve, with work under way upgrading Riddells Creek Primary School.

Member for Macedon Mary-Anne Thomas today turned the first sod to start construction on the school’s $2.2 million upgrade, which will help it deliver a 21st century education.

Raysett Constructions has been appointed to build the upgrade, which will include a new standalone senior learning building for Grade 6 including classrooms, a wet area, toilets and staff space.

The upgrade will also provide an outdoor learning area, landscaping around the new building and maintenance works on some of the existing structures.

Riddells Creek Primary School’s upgrade will create local jobs, with work expected to be completed by July 2020.

The Andrews Labor Government has invested $5.6 billion to deliver more than 1,400 school upgrades, supporting over 5,000 construction jobs for Victorians.

The Labor Government is building the Education State so that every student can access a great local school and get a quality education.
