Regional event funding for harvest festival

Join thousands of foodies from across the state and beyond to taste your way around the region at the 2017 Daylesford Macedon Produce Harvest Festival.

This popular event will be boosted by funding from the Andrews Labor Government’s Regional Events Fund.

The nine-day gastronomical extravaganza will feature a diverse program of lunches, dinners, wine tastings and markets, cooking classes, farm visits, and grower meet and taste experiences.

Chair of the Harvest Festival, Alla Tasker Wolf AM, said that events like these are "critical to the region’s economic development. They continue to promote the region as a great place to visit, but also a great place to live in."

"The festival has a plethora of events that serve to satisfy the growing interest in sustainable agriculture, the production and growing of good food and country living in general. People want to learn and Harvest Festival offers sessions on bee keeping, visits to best practice farms, fermentation, cooking classes, butchery and much more. Then there is the huge Regional Producers Day at Lake House where we open up the whole property to enable visitors to engage with producers, chefs, growers and winemakers in a day of tasting, discussion and learning" she said.

From culinary tourists to families, nature enthusiasts, the local community and industry professionals, there is something for everyone at the Harvest Festival.

The Government’s $20 million Regional Events Fund is helping communities across Victoria stage and secure the events that drive visitation and showcase the best of everything the regions have to offer.

The 2017 Daylesford Macedon Produce Harvest Festival will run from 16 to 25 June 2017.
