New evening services for macedon from january

The Andrews Labor Government will introduce 10 new evening train services from Monday to Friday on the Bendigo line in January next year as part of a new V/Line timetable that will deliver 80 extra services each week across regional Victoria.

A new Melbourne to Bendigo service will leave Southern Cross Station at 7.42pm and pass through Kyneton at 8:49pm.

Another will leave Bendigo at 9.20pm and stop at Kyneton at 10:05pm, helping people get home if they’ve worked late or gone out in Bendigo.

The 80 extra V/Line services announced this week are the first of more than 170 announced in 2016-17 Victorian Budget, which invests $1.3 billion in better public transport for regional Victoria.

The Budget also delivered $280 million for new carriages, to boost capacity on the busiest regional services.

The new train timetables will be available for download from 28 November at ptv.vic.gov.au. Timetable updates, including new bus and coach services, will be added to PTV’s Journey Planner and PTV App from 5 January 2017.

Another timetable change is scheduled for mid-next year, which will introduce even more regional services.
