Labor government helping riddells creek sporting clubs reach for the skies

The Andrews Labor Government is giving sporting clubs in Riddells Creek the tools and resources it needs to grow.

Labor Member for Macedon, Mary-Anne Thomas, today announced three clubs in Riddells Creek are among 300 clubs across the state sharing in more than $419,000 funding from the Labor Government’s Sporting Club Grants Program.

The Riddells Creek Cricket Club and Junior Mixed Basketball Association have each been awarded $1000 for new equipment and uniforms whilst the Riddells Creek Netball Association has received $690 for new equipment.

The Labor Government is helping community clubs provide an environment where families connect, kids strive to be the best they can be and beginners become stars.

The Labor Government is committed to making community sport part of the lives of all Victorians, and the Sporting Club Grants Program does just that. Sporting clubs are the lifeblood of our suburbs and towns, where kids learn valuable life lessons and enjoy great moments.

Victoria is the sporting state, and the Labor Government wants us to stay that way. The Sporting Club Grants Program is just one of the Government’s initiatives that keeps kids happy and healthy, communities active and local clubs strong.
