Extra bendigo line services from jan 31

Labor Member for Macedon, Mary-Anne Thomas, has announced new train services for residents of Macedon on the Bendigo line from 31 January.

The Bendigo line will get an extra morning and evening peak service stopping all stations through the Macedon electorate.

The new morning train will depart Epsom (Bendigo) at 7:00am, stopping at Malmsbury at 7:46am, Kyneton at 7:54am, Woodend at 8:02am, Macedon at 8:08am, Gisborne at 8:12am, Riddells Creek at 8:17am and Clarkefield at 8:22am, arriving in to Southern Cross Station at 9:07am.

The new afternoon service will depart Southern Cross Station at 4:02pm arriving at Clarkefield at 4:40pm, Riddells Creek at 4:45pm, Gisborne at 4:51pm, Macedon at 4:55pm, Woodend at 5:01pm and Kyneton at 5:08pm on its way through to Bendigo, arriving at 5:55pm.

Ms Thomas said the extra services will help locals throughout the area commute to and from work, school and sport.

"The Andrews Labor Government promised to invest in public transport projects and services for Victorians and we are delivering on that promise".

The changes will be introduced as part of the V/Line timetable adjustment on Sunday 31 January 2016.
