Designs for gisborne primary school upgrades released

Designs have been released for Stage 2 of exciting upgrades to Gisborne Primary School, which will give students the facilities they need for a great start in life.

Member for Macedon, Mary-Anne Thomas, today revealed designs for the $10 million project, which includes a new competition-grade gymnasium and administration building, along with newly created learning areas and playground facilities.

Stage 1 of works to the school are now complete and included refurbishment of learning areas to create a more modern learning environment. Stage 2 is expected to be complete by mid-2021.

The Andrews Labor Government has invested $5.6 billion to deliver more than 1,400 school upgrades, supporting over 5,000 construction jobs for Victorians.

Under the Labor Government’s school building boom, a total of 100 new schools will open by 2026, ensuring every child has a great local school and a great start in life.

This building boom will continue over the coming years, with the Government having appointed builders to start delivering 11 schools across the state that will open in 2020 and 14 schools that will open in 2021.
