Delivering an upgraded cfa station for riddells creek

Firefighters in Riddells Creek will get the facilities they need to keep their community safe with a re-elected Andrews Labor Government to upgrade the local CFA station.

Only Labor will make sure our firefighters have the modern facilities they need, investing $950,000 to bring the station up to scratch.

The existing station was built in 1984 and is no longer meeting the needs of the local brigade. The facility is overcrowded, without female amenities and is well and truly ready for a refresh.

The upgraded station will provide the community with the modern facilities it deserves and will house the Brigade’s four vehicles and appliances, as well as supporting more than 60 volunteers that staff the station.

Only Labor will deliver the things that matter to people across the Macedon Ranges, including the modern facilities our emergency services need to keep the local communities safe.

Quote attributable to Minister for Emergency Services, James Merlino
"The Riddells Creek Brigade is a pivotal part of the local community. But 30 years on, it’s ready for a refresh."

Quote attributable to the Member for Macedon, Mary-Anne Thomas
"The Riddells Creek Fire Brigade is home to an active and thriving group of volunteers who are dedicated to keeping their community safe. This upgrade will enable the brigade to continue to grow to meet the operational responsibilities in our region."

"I have enjoyed working with the Brigade towards this outcome and look forward to delivering this investment under a re-elected Andrews Labor Government."
