Building the education state in kyneton

The Treasurer, Tim Pallas, today visited Kyneton Secondary College to officially announce a significant funding boost.

He announced a total of $5 million for Kyneton Secondary College to build a Trades Hub, in addition to another $8 million to complete the $11.5 million Kyneton Primary School rebuild.

The $5 million will go to upgrade the trade wing and build a vocational education and training hub for the Macedon Ranges as part of the Kyneton Education Precinct.

The Andrews Labor Government’s first Education State Budget is rebuilding schools across regional Victoria and giving its students the best start in life.

The 2015-16 Victorian Budget invests close to $4 billion in Victoria’s education and skills system – it represents the single biggest boost to education funding in Victoria’s history.

This includes $325 million to renovate, refurbish or rebuild 67 schools – 21 of these are in regional Victoria.
