$600,000 upgrade announced for carlsruhe fire station

Carlsruhe CFA volunteers will benefit from a $600,000 station upgrade, thanks to funding in the Victorian Budget 2018/19.

Member for Macedon, Mary-Anne Thomas, visited the station today to announce upgrades that will deliver the modern, fit-for-purpose facilities that Carlsruhe’s dedicated firefighters deserve.

The Carlsruhe Fire Brigade has been in existence for nearly 60 years, and has been based at its current site for most of its history.

The brigade has a very active core membership of 54 volunteers.

The Carlsruhe upgrade has been funded as part of the Victorian Government’s $43 million Budget commitment to upgrade and build new CFA, Victoria State Emergency Service and Life Saving Victoria facilities.

Other funded CFA projects include a major upgrade to the Mount Macedon fire station, which received $1.6 million.
